[Swiss #3] 거침없이 하이킹 2 (Grindelwald - Kleine Scheidegg - Jungfrau)
| CULTURE/Switzerland 2010. 9. 12. 10:59이번 여행의 목적지는 스위스와 오스트리아 였으며, 스위스에서는 알프스의 대자연을... 오스트리아에서는 위대한 작곡가들의 발자취를 따라가는데 중점을 두었었다. 하지만 큰 틀만 그렇게 잡혔을뿐 사실 이번 여행은 거의 무계획하게 왔다. 한인 민박의 힘을 이용하려고도 했으나 너무나 무계획했던 나머지 예약조차 하지 않아 그것도 불가능한 상황...
(The first day of Interlaken. The destination of this travel was Switzerland and Austria, and it's focused on enjoying the nature in Switzerland. In Austria, I want to follow the track of great muscians (composers). But that's just the plan and actually, I didn't prepare anything for this travel. So I tried to use the power of information in Korean accomadations but it's impossible because even I didn't booked it.)
하지만 우리는 IT 강국에 살고 있으니....
바로 인터넷 까페 유럽여행 최고의 사이트, 유랑의 힘을 빌러 어떤 친절하신 분이 엑셀을 이용하여 올려놓은 자신의 일정을 그냥 그대로 뽑아버렸다. 내가 한 일이라고는 동쪽에서 서쪽으로 가는 그 분의 일정을 오스트리아로 넘어가야하니 서쪽에서 동쪽으로 바꾼것 뿐.... (그것도 나름 스트레스더라.. ㅋㅋ..)

I've got my travel routes in the biggest European travel website in Korea. Someone updated their itinerary on the board and I just downloaded it. The only thing that I did was just changing the direction from 'east to west itinerary' to 'west to east' because of visiting Austria after Swiss journey. Anyway, that small change was also quite stressful for me. haha... )
그래서 오늘의 원래 일정은 인터라켄 동역에서 그린델발트, 클라이네 샤이덱, 융프라우요흐, 다시 클라이네 샤이덱에서 멘리켄, 벵겐까지 하이킹, 다시 그린델발트를 통해 인터라켄 동역으로 돌아오는 것이었다.
(So my original plan was Interlaken Ost station - Grindelwald - Kleine Scheidegg - Junfraujoch - Kleine Scheidegg - Menlichen - Wengen - Grindelwald - Interlaken Ost.)
하지만 전혀 고민 없이 남들이 정해놓은 일정만 보면, 뭐가 좋은건지... 뭐가 뭔지 몰라, 호스텔에 있는 인터라켄 소개 팜플렛을 보고 이날 일정을 바꿔버렸다. 아무래도 팜플렛의 그림에 혹~ 했던듯......
(But it was just other's plan without my thought, so I didn't know where was where and what was what, so I changed my route after reading a brochure in the hostel. Maybe I was bewitched by its picture.)
그리고 전날 가졌던 등산에 스위스의 산은 별것 아니다(?) 라는 생각이 한몫을 하여 이날도 난 등산을 통해 클라이네 샤이덱으로 가리라 마음먹었다.
(And I've got some inspiration from last hiking that Swiss mountains are not that difficult to climb so I decided to go to Kleine Scheidegg by walk.)
그린델발트에서 클라이네샤이덱까지는 4시간이 약간 넘는 등산코스이다. 아무래도 가다가 지칠듯하여 쿱에가서 초코쿠키와 에비앙 생수 0.75L 물병을 사고 그린델발트행 기차에 몸을 실었다.
난 제일 처음 저게 클라이네 샤이덱인줄 알고 '저 봉우리가 클라이네 샤이덱이야? 별거 아니네' 라고 생각....
거침없이 하이킹을 시작했다.
(It takes about 4 hours from Grindelwald to Kleine Scheidegg. Inevitably, I would be tired so I went to Coop and bought some chocolete cookie and a bottle of Evian water (0.75L) and got the train that's for Grindelwald.
At the beginning of the hiking, I thought that was the Kleine Scheidegg so it's just nothing and I started to walk without reserve.)
인터라켄은 특히나 패러 글라이딩이나 래프팅같은 레져 스포츠로 유명한 동네이다. 저걸 타볼까도 생각했지만....
난... 아직 살아야 할 남은 인생이 더 많다네.... ^^
(Espicially, Interaken is famous for some leisure sports like paragliding and rafting. Once I thougt about having a paragliding, but I have more years than I've lived. )
길은 이처럼 편평하고 넓다. 하지만 나무 그늘없는 길을 등산하는 것이 흠이라면 흠이랄까?
이 분들을 앞지르고 씩씩하게 걸어나가던 중....
(The path is quite wide and flat like this picture but there's no shade of tree. I overtook this couple and in the middle of hiking....)
분명.... 험하지 않은 길이건만 어느 순간부턴가 갑자기 기차를 타고 가는 사람들이 부러워지기 시작한다.
내리쬐는 햇볕이 강렬하여 그게 날 더 지치게 만들었을지도 모른다.
아까전에 뒤 따라 오던 중년부부들이 어느새 날 앞지르고 시야에서 사라지셨다.
그리고 난 녹초가 되기 시작한다.
(Apparantely.... the path is not so rough but from some moment, I started to be jeolus of people who were getting a train.
The strong sunshine might make me exausted. And the couple overtook me and I couldn't keep up with them.
And I was getting knackered.)
그러고보니 지난번은 하산만 했던것이고 이번엔 등산... 더더군다나 영국에서 운동을 따로 특별히 하지는 않아서 완전히 저질체력으로 변해버렸던 것이었다.
아아... 1/3도 채 오기전에 벌써 쿱에서 사온 초코쿠키를 끝장내고, 생수를 거의 다 마셔버렸다.
(What the f**k~!! My feet were very light in Zermatt....
But last hiking was going down from the top but this was climbing.. What's more I haven't done exercise in England so my physical strength was very lowered.
Aah~~!! Before getting to 1/3 of destination I finished my chocolate cookie and almost drank up the water.)
아마 소들이 마시는 여물통인것 같다. 물통에 이끼가 가득 차 있었지만, 그 물조차 마시고 싶은 강렬한 충동이 몰려왔다.
이미 온 몸은 땀으로 흠뻑 젖어벼렸고, 들고가는 사진기조차 거추장스럽게 느껴졌었다.
(It looked like a crib for water. A lot of moss was attached its wall but I felt strong feeling to want to drink this water.
My clothes were wet with my sweat, and even I felt that my camera was very heavy.)
난 여지껏 이 봉우리가 클라이네 샤이덱인지 착각하고 있었다.
아아... 아니었구나... ㅜ.ㅜ 도대체 얼마나 더 가야 하는거야?
봉우리위에 비치는 저 햇살이 사막의 사구위에 내려쬐는 강렬한 태양처럼 느껴졌었다.
(Before coming here, I misunderstood this summit was the Kleine Scheidegg. Oh, No... what the hell do I have to go more?
The sunshine on it was felt like the sunshine on a desert.)
알프스의 소들... 호스텔에서 햄버거 메뉴에 '우리 업소는 국내산(스위스산) 소만을 사용합니다.' 라고 적혀있길래 스위스산 소고기 맛은 어떨까 하여 순전히 호기심으로 햄버거를 사먹어 봤는데 사실 난.. 맛을 가릴줄 모른다. 어쨌거나 미안하다 소야... ㅎㅎ..
(Cows in Alps... I saw some sentence on the menu of the hostel : We only use domestic cows so I tried to eat hamburger because of my curiosity how the Swiss cow tastes, but actually, I can't distinguish the taste and other's. Anyway.. I'm so sorry... cow~!! ;) )
이게 뭐야.. 이곳이 클라이네 샤이덱이야? 무슨 봉우리인줄 알았는데, 제법 넓은 산위의 평지였다.
(Where is this? Is this Kleine Scheidegg? I thought it was a kind of summit but it was quite flat and wide place.)
아아.. 난.. 이걸 먹을 자격이 충분히 있다. 시원한 맥주가 물이란 물은 모두 땀으로 배출된 내 몸을 흠뻑 적신다.
그리고 한 입 베어 문 소세지.. 사람은.. 역시 극한 상황(?)에 처하면 작은것에도 행복해 할 줄 안다.
(Oh.. Yes.. I think I 'm deserved to eat this. This cold beer was absorbed in my body that every water had been discharged.
And, a saussage... Men... who are faced to extreme situation can satisfy with only small things.)

예전부터 늘상 생각해온 거지만....
해외여행을 많이가서 그 나라 사람들에게 눈도장 찍는것도, 국위를 선양하는 좋은 방법이다.
우리나라 사람들이 어찌나 많이 오던지, 아예 기념품 상점에 태극기까지 펄럭이고 있었다.

It is also a good way to advertise and raise national prestige by traveling other countries.
What a many Koreans...!! because of that.. I could see a Korean national flag, Tae Geuk Ki on the facade of souvenir shop. )
이제 클라이네 샤이덱(2,061m)에서 융프라우(3,454m)까지...
이제 더 이상의 등산로는 없다.
산 봉우리에 터널을 뚫어서 여기서부터는 능선이 아니라 계속해서 기차를 타고 터널안을 지나게 된다. (1912년 개통되었고 3,000명의 사람들이 16년동안 굴착작업을 했다고 한다.)
가파른 산을 오르니 기차도 뭔가 특별한 신발(?)이 필요하다. (사실 산을 오르는 스위스의 기차들은 모두 이런 Cogwheel 열차이다.)

There's no more path from here
They made tunnel and we have to go to Junfrau through this tunnel by train. (It is opened in 1912 and the tunnel took 3,000 men 16 years to drill)
The train needs some special shoes(?) to climb steep mountain. (Actually, most Swiss trains which go to the top of mountain are cogwheel.)
대략 40-50분을 올라가는 매우 짧은 코스이지만, Swiss Half-Fare Card를 적용해서도 54.50프랑. (스위스 패스 소지자 25% 할인, 유레일/인터레일 할인불가, Half-Fare Card 50% 할인)
내가 스위스에서 단일로 돈을 쓴것 가운데 가장 비싼 금액이다.
처음 표를 살때 '뭐 이리 비싸?' 라고 생각했지만...............

It is short distance that takes 40-50 min with very slow speed, but the ticket costs 54,50 Fr after applying Swiss Half-Fare Card. (25% discount with Swiss Pass, No discount with Eurail / Interail, 50% with Half-Fare Card.)
It is the most expensive price that I spent for only one item in Switzerland.

드디어 도착한 융프라우요흐.
(Finally, I got to Junfraujoch.)
그리고 알프스에서 가장 긴(23km) 알레치 빙하.
1856년에는 163 sq km, 1973년에는 128 sq km, 그리고 오늘날에는 85 sq km 로 언젠가는 사라져 버릴지도 몰라 어쩌면 우리 후손들은.. 아아니.. 환경파괴를 멈추지 않는다면 어쩌면 우리 세대에서도 이런 아름다운 대자연을 즐길 수 있는 권리를 박탈당할지도 모른다.
세계에서 가장 장엄한 장관을 못 볼 수 있다는 두려움 때문일까? 한 해 무려 200만명이나 방문을 한단다.
며칠전 뉴스에서 오존층 파괴과 멈추었다는걸 봤는데, 지구 온난화도 우리가 노력만 한다면 얼마든지 멈출 수 있지 않을까?
(유대계 석유 재벌들.... 기득권 그냥 인정해 줄테니 지구를 위해서 이제 전쟁 그만 치르고, 석유자원말고 대체 에너지 개발하는게 어때?)
This scenary compensates the expensive price. The longest glacier in Alps, Aletch glacier (23km)
It was 163 sq km in 1856, 128 sq km in 1973, and today it is 85 ssq km, so it might be well gone in a couple of generations. no... if we don't stop destructing the environment, we may lose the chance to enjoy this beautiful nature.
Is this a reason that we can't see this magnificent landscape? About 2 million people visit here in a year.
I saw a news that the destruction of ozone layer was stopped, like that, Can't we stop the global warming if we try, can we?
융프라우(4,158m). 사실.. 난 아무생각 없이 이곳으로 왔지만 날씨가 흐리면 빙하고 뭐고 아무것도 못볼 수 있다.
주변 숙박시설에서 며칠 묵으면서 날씨 상황 봐가면서 올라와야 하는 곳이란다. (그것도 아침 일찍부터 바쁘게 움직여야 한다. 방문객수를 제한하기 때문에 약간이라도 늦으면 표를 못 구할수가 있다.)
하마터면 못 볼수도 있었으니 '난 그저 운이 좋았구나' 라고 생각하며 가슴을 쓸어 내렸다.
( Junfrau (4,158m). Actually, I didn't consider the weather but if it is cloudy, you can't see anything, the glacier neither.
This is the place to come when the whether is good so you should book a accomadation for several days and have to go up here when the weather is good. They restrict the number of visitors so you also have to be in a hurry in the early morning to buy a ticket.
I thoght I was lucky because I didn't consider the refered conditions.)
이곳에서도 뭔가 특별한 추억을 만들 수 있다. 군대에서 유격할때 타 본 활차. 그때는 목숨걸고 탔었는데.. ㅋㅋ..
(You can make some special memory with a kind of extreme sports. I did it with taking a risk of my life when I was in the Army. haha.. )

멘리켄, 벵겐까지 하이킹을 또 하고 싶었으나, 이미 클라이네 샤이덱까지의 하이킹으로 많은 시간을 소비한 터라 하산은 원래 왔던 길로 그냥 기차를 타고 하기로 했다.
아... 기차타면 이렇게 편한 것을.... 하지만 절대 후회는 없다. 분명히 살이 빠졌을테니깐...
( I'd like to have more hiking for Menlichen and Wengen but I spent a lot of time for Kleine Scheidegg, so I decided to go down on the same route that I climbed but by train this time.
Ah.. It's so convinient... but I never regreted. Apparantely, I lost my weight.....)
인터라켄 주변은 어딜가나 한국과 관련된 것들을 많이 찾을 수 있다.

융프라우를 뒤로하고 나는 다시 인터라켄으로 돌아온다.
아... 빙하녹기 전에 부모님 효도관광 한 번 보내드려야겠다.
( I came back to Interaken after Junfrau journey.. Ah.. I 'd like to show this beautiful landscape to my parents before melting away.)

몽트뢰에서 체르마트로 가는길......
이제 프랑스어를 사용하는 지역에서 독일어를 사용하는 지역으로 이동중이다.
스위스에는 4개의 국어가 공존한다고 한다. 프랑스어, 독일어, 이태리어와 스위스 전통방언인 로만쉬어(Romanche).
이중 독일어가 가장 많은 지역에서 사용되고 있으며, 국제기구가 많이 모인 지역이 모두 프랑스어 지역이라 프랑스어도 상당한 지위를 가지고 있지만, 일부 산간지역에서만 사용되는 Romanche어는 사라질까봐 언어학자들이 가장 노심초사하며 걱정하는 언어이다.
4개 국어면 국가가 갈려서 지역감정 같은 것이 없지 않아 있을 테지만, 우리나라보다 심할지랴? 여러나라의 말을 할 수 있다는것이 부럽기도 하지만 무엇보다 올바른 정치인들과 깨어있는 시민의 힘을 가진 것이 더 부럽게 느껴진다.
(유구한 역사와 동일한 언어를 가지고도 개떡같은 정치인들과 개똥보다 못한 언론 때문에 조그만 국토에서도 제대로 화합을 이루고 있지 못한 우리나라가 너무 서글퍼진다.)

Now.. I'm going to the German Part of the Switzerland from the French part of it. There are 4 languages in Switzerland. French, German, Italian and Swiss local dialect, Romanche. Among of them, German is used most, and the regions that have many international organisations are in French part so the French is also considered as a major language in Switzerland but the Romanche which is used in some mountain valleys is endangered of extinction so the linguists are very worrying about that.
They might have some kind of discrimination to people who use different language in a region which use other different language, but they must be better than us. I'm jeolusy of bilingual or triplelingual but I'm more envious of them who are awaken from the ignorance and having righteous politicians)

아.. 어디선가 스위스에서 뭔가 획기적인 다리짓는 토목공법이 나왔다는것을 읽은것 같은데....

우리나라에서도 볼 수 있는 너와지붕... 차이점이라면 재료가 돌이라는것? (어? 우리나라도 돌이던가?)

체르마트에 드디어 도착. 이곳은 차가 없는 마을이다. 그래서 아래와 같은 마차가 교통수단이다.
(Finally, I got to Zermatt. It is prohibited to drive a car in this villiage. So the horses and wagons are used for transport.)
체르마트에서 Cogwheel 열차를 타고 고르너그라트로 등반을 시작.
스위스를 오랜기간 여행하려면 Swiss Pass 를 미리 사가는것이 좋은데 종류도 여러가지가 있다. Swiss Pass와 Swiss Flexi Pass, Half Pare Card 등이 있는데, 도시와 도시 사이를 많이 이동하고 시내관광을하며 버스와 트램등을 이용한다면 모든것이 무료인 Swiss Pass가 경제적이겠지만, 등산기차와 케이블카등은 반값으로 밖에 할인이 안되기 때문에 도시보단 자연을 돌아다니는 것이 주목적인 나는 모든것이 반 값인 Half Pare Card를 이용했다. 가격은 대략 65파운드정도. 런던에 살고 있다면 이 주소로 가면 나에게 적합한 카드가 어떤것인지 상담을 해주고 카드를 살 수 있다. If you travel Switzerland lond period of time, you'd better buy Swiss Pass and there are many kinds of Pass. Swiss Pass, Swiss Flexi Pass and Half Pare Card are the major three. If you travel from a city to other city a lot and take bus and tram in the city, Swiss Pass is more economical than any other kinds but the Cogwheel train, funicular and cable car is discounted only 50% like other cards, so I bought Half Pare Card because I wanted to have a hiking and travel in the nature not in the city. The price was approximately 65￡.

등산열차를 타면 항상 오른쪽에 앉으시라... 그러면 마터호른의 장엄한 광경을 볼 수 있을지니.....
근데 이날은 날씨가 맑음에도 불구하고 항상 구름조각에 가려 그 전체 모습을 드러내진 않았다. ㅜ.ㅜ

But that day, though the weather was not bad, the whole part of Matterhorn wasn't seen because of partly cloudy weather)

고르너그라트 꼭대기 종착역에 오면 장엄한 빙하를 볼 수 있다.

산에 사는 영양.. 처음에는 어미만 보였으나 나중에 새끼가 따라 나섰다.

빙하를 배경으로 사진을 찍어주고... 긴 옷을 챙겨가길 잘 했다. 여름이라면 잠바까지는 필요 없는듯...
(I took a picture with glacier. I think it was good to take a long shirts. If it's summer, you don't need a jacket...)
마터호른의 전체가 드러난 사진을 원했지만 절대로 그 모습을 끝끝내 보여주지 않았던 산.
하다못해 묘하게 꼭대기만 남기고 모든걸 가려버린 구름..

지금부터 본격적인 하이킹 시작이다. 사실 스위스와서 처음부터 하이킹할 생각은 없었다. 한국에 있으면서 고작 설악산 대청봉(1708m)이나 오르고 한라산 정상(1950m)에만 가본 나로서는 3,000m / 4,000m 의 높이는 너무나 압도적으로 느껴졌었기 때문이다. 하지만 이날 하이킹에서 난 뭔가 영감을 받았다. 스위스의 산은 높지만 정확히 0m 에서 시작하는것도 아니며, 길도 넓고 고르기 때문에 3,000m가 넘어가는 산도 대구의 팔공산보다 훨씬 덜 힘들다는 것을...... -_-;;
(It's time to have a hiking. Actually, I didn't think about having a hiking in Switzerland. At most 1708m(Sorak mountain) and 1950m(Hallah mountain) were my highest record in Korea so 3,000m and 4,000m of mountains were overwhelming me. But on this day, I got some inspiration from this hiking. Swiss mountains are definitely higher than Koreans but the start point is not exactly 0m and the paths are wide and quite flat, so though they're over 3,000m, they're less hard than Korean small local mountain.)
리펠제 호수. (Riffelsee). 사실 바람이 좀 잔잔해지고 물결이 없어지면 마터호른이 호수에 반사가되어 더 멋진 사진이 나오지 않을까 기다려봤지만, 구름도 점점 몰려오는데다 바람도 끊임없이 불어 그냥 이 사진으로 만족해야만 했다.
그래서... 사진을 잘 찍으려면 인내심이 매우 필요하다는 것을 느꼈다. 나랑 아주 상관없는 덕목이다. -_-;;
(Lake Riffel. Actually, I waited to take a picture that the lake is reflecting Matterhorn but more clounds were coming to it and the winds blew constantly, so I had to satisfy with this pic. So... to get a good picture, I thought patience is the most important thing. That is quite far from me)
아... 이런데서 바로 하이킹을 하는 보람을 얻는다. 기차만 타고 다니면 결코 보지 못할 광경들...

차갑지 않을까? 어릴적에 봤던 어린이 드라마 "달려라 래시" 를 생각나게 하던 개. 그린 슬리브스 배경음악도 함께 떠오른다.

이제 Zermatt에서 다시 Visp, Spiez 역을 통해 Interlaken으로 간다.
Spiez 역으로 서서히 들어오고 있는 독일의 이체(ICE) 열차.
프랑스 떼제베, 독일의 이체, 한국의 KTX를 타봤으니 이제 일본의 신칸센만 타보면 모든 고속열차를 타보겠군. ^^
기다려라 융프라우여...
(Now I'm going to Interlaken via Visp and Spiez station. The German fast train ICE is coming to the station.
I got French TGV, German ICE and Korean KTX so my last target is Shincansen. haha...

프랑스 파리에서 떼제베를 타고 도착한 제네바.
(After Paris tour, I got to Geneve)
원래 스위스에서는 도시에서는 머무를 계획이 없었지만 제네바만큼은 둘러봐야겠다고 생각을했다.
(Actually cities were not included in my plan but I've decided to look around in Geneva)
바로 유엔을 비롯한 많은 국제기구들이 있기 때문이다.
(Because there are a lot of international organisations like UN)
아래사진은 제네바를 거쳐 숙소에 가기 위해 머물렀던 몽트뢰 라는곳..
(The following pictures were taken in Montreux where I stayed for one night)
제네바 호수는 호수를 끼고 달리는 기차가 2시간여나 달릴 정도로 매우 큰 호수였다.
(Gneve lake is as big as a train which runs along the lake takes more than two hours)
인어공주?? 는 아닐테고....
(Mermaid?? No.... ^^;;)
