영어 울렁증을 가진 사람들을 위해 발견한 주옥같은 명곡.
매우 또렷하게 발음해서 알아듣기도 좋고, 해석도 잘 되고, 더더군다나 가사가 조금 닭살스럽긴 하지만, 애절하고 간절한 마음을 잘 드러내 주는것 같아~ ^^

Charles-Valentin Alkan (프랑스)
쇼팽(폴란드), 리스트(헝가리)와 더불어 동시대에 살았던 피아니스트겸 작곡가.. 그들과 같이 주옥같은 명곡과, 음반 제목을 보다시피 교향곡의 여러악기를 한대의 피아노로 옮겨놓은 듯한 초절적인 기교를 요하는 곡들을 많이 썼지만 최고의 정점에 오른 2인과 동시대에 살아 상대적으로 빛을 발하지 못한 불운의 작곡가.
특이한 레퍼토리만 찾아서 연주하는 불세출의 연주자 Marc-Andre Hamelin 덕분에 빛을 발하게 되었다. Alkan을 우연히 알고 그의 곡을 레코딩으로 찾아서 처음 들었을땐 정말 진흙속의 진주를 발견한 느낌..
흐미.. 근데 곡을 너무 어렵게 써서 일반 취미 연주자는 범접도 못하게 만들어 놓는군~ ㅜ.ㅜ
그렇다면 내게 가능한 것이라도..
