몽트뢰에서 체르마트로 가는길......
이제 프랑스어를 사용하는 지역에서 독일어를 사용하는 지역으로 이동중이다.
스위스에는 4개의 국어가 공존한다고 한다. 프랑스어, 독일어, 이태리어와 스위스 전통방언인 로만쉬어(Romanche).
이중 독일어가 가장 많은 지역에서 사용되고 있으며, 국제기구가 많이 모인 지역이 모두 프랑스어 지역이라 프랑스어도 상당한 지위를 가지고 있지만, 일부 산간지역에서만 사용되는 Romanche어는 사라질까봐 언어학자들이 가장 노심초사하며 걱정하는 언어이다.
4개 국어면 국가가 갈려서 지역감정 같은 것이 없지 않아 있을 테지만, 우리나라보다 심할지랴?  여러나라의 말을 할 수 있다는것이 부럽기도 하지만 무엇보다 올바른 정치인들과 깨어있는 시민의 힘을 가진 것이 더 부럽게 느껴진다.
(유구한 역사와 동일한 언어를 가지고도 개떡같은 정치인들과 개똥보다 못한 언론 때문에 조그만 국토에서도 제대로 화합을 이루고 있지 못한 우리나라가 너무 서글퍼진다.)

Now.. I'm going to the German Part of the Switzerland from the French part of it. There are 4 languages in Switzerland. French, German, Italian and Swiss local dialect, Romanche. Among of them, German is used most, and the regions that have many international organisations are in French part so the French is also considered as a major language in Switzerland but the Romanche which is used in some mountain valleys is endangered of extinction so the linguists are very worrying about that.
They might have some kind of discrimination to people who use different language in a region which use other different language, but they must be better than us. I'm jeolusy of bilingual or triplelingual but I'm more envious of them who are awaken from the ignorance and having righteous politicians)

체르마트로 가기 위해서는 Visp 역에서 기차를 갈아타야 된다.
(You have to transfer the traim at the Visp station to go to Zermatt)

 아.. 어디선가 스위스에서 뭔가 획기적인 다리짓는 토목공법이 나왔다는것을 읽은것 같은데....
설마 이 다리들은 아닐테지...?
(Um.. I think I read some article about Swiss bridge that was renovative while I was studying IELTS. Are they them?)



우리나라에서도 볼 수 있는 너와지붕... 차이점이라면 재료가 돌이라는것? (어? 우리나라도 돌이던가?)
(I saw this flat material for the roof in Korea. The difference is that the material is stone.)

 

체르마트에 드디어 도착. 이곳은 차가 없는 마을이다. 그래서 아래와 같은 마차가 교통수단이다.
(Finally, I got to Zermatt. It is prohibited to drive a car in this villiage. So the horses and wagons are used for transport.)

 

체르마트에서 Cogwheel 열차를 타고 고르너그라트로 등반을 시작.
스위스를 오랜기간 여행하려면 Swiss Pass 를 미리 사가는것이 좋은데 종류도 여러가지가 있다. Swiss Pass와 Swiss Flexi Pass, Half Pare Card 등이 있는데, 도시와 도시 사이를 많이 이동하고 시내관광을하며 버스와 트램등을 이용한다면 모든것이 무료인 Swiss Pass가 경제적이겠지만, 등산기차와 케이블카등은 반값으로 밖에 할인이 안되기 때문에 도시보단 자연을 돌아다니는 것이 주목적인 나는 모든것이 반 값인 Half Pare Card를 이용했다. 가격은 대략 65파운드정도. 런던에 살고 있다면 이 주소로 가면 나에게 적합한 카드가 어떤것인지 상담을 해주고 카드를 살 수 있다. (I started my journey from Zermatt to Gornergrat by cogwheel train.
If you travel Switzerland lond period of time, you'd better buy Swiss Pass and there are many kinds of Pass. Swiss Pass, Swiss Flexi Pass and Half Pare Card are the major three. If you travel from a city to other city a lot and take bus and tram in the city, Swiss Pass is more economical than any other kinds but the Cogwheel train, funicular and cable car is discounted only 50% like other cards, so I bought Half Pare Card because I wanted to have a hiking and travel in the nature not in the city. The price was approximately 65￡.

등산열차를 타면 항상 오른쪽에 앉으시라...  그러면 마터호른의 장엄한 광경을 볼 수 있을지니.....
근데 이날은 날씨가 맑음에도 불구하고 항상 구름조각에 가려 그 전체 모습을 드러내진 않았다. ㅜ.ㅜ

(When you get the train, you should sit on the right side, then you can see the magnificent Matterhorn...
But that day, though the weather was not bad, the whole part of Matterhorn wasn't seen because of partly cloudy weather)

고르너그라트 꼭대기 종착역에 오면 장엄한 빙하를 볼 수 있다.
(The train terminates at the top of the Gornergrat and you can see the magnificent glaciers)

산에 사는 영양.. 처음에는 어미만 보였으나 나중에 새끼가 따라 나섰다.
(Mountain deers.. I could see only mother.. but after its baby followed her)

 

빙하를 배경으로 사진을 찍어주고... 긴 옷을 챙겨가길 잘 했다. 여름이라면 잠바까지는 필요 없는듯...
(I took a picture with glacier. I think it was good to take a long shirts. If it's summer, you don't need a jacket...)

 


마터호른의 전체가 드러난 사진을 원했지만 절대로 그 모습을 끝끝내 보여주지 않았던 산.
하다못해 묘하게 꼭대기만 남기고 모든걸 가려버린 구름..
(I wanted to take a picture of whole Matterhorn but it never showed, what's more it just stragely showed its top)

 

지금부터 본격적인 하이킹 시작이다. 사실 스위스와서 처음부터 하이킹할 생각은 없었다.  한국에 있으면서 고작 설악산 대청봉(1708m)이나 오르고 한라산 정상(1950m)에만 가본 나로서는 3,000m / 4,000m 의 높이는 너무나 압도적으로 느껴졌었기 때문이다. 하지만 이날 하이킹에서 난 뭔가 영감을 받았다.  스위스의 산은 높지만 정확히 0m 에서 시작하는것도 아니며, 길도 넓고 고르기 때문에 3,000m가 넘어가는 산도 대구의 팔공산보다 훨씬 덜 힘들다는 것을...... -_-;;

(It's time to have a hiking. Actually, I didn't think about having a hiking in Switzerland. At most 1708m(Sorak mountain) and 1950m(Hallah mountain) were my highest record in Korea so 3,000m and 4,000m of mountains were overwhelming me. But on this day, I got some inspiration from this hiking. Swiss mountains are definitely higher than Koreans but the start point is not exactly 0m and the paths are wide and quite flat, so though they're over 3,000m, they're less hard than Korean small local mountain.)

리펠제 호수. (Riffelsee). 사실 바람이 좀 잔잔해지고 물결이 없어지면 마터호른이 호수에 반사가되어 더 멋진 사진이 나오지 않을까 기다려봤지만, 구름도 점점 몰려오는데다 바람도 끊임없이 불어 그냥 이 사진으로 만족해야만 했다.
그래서... 사진을 잘 찍으려면 인내심이 매우 필요하다는 것을 느꼈다. 나랑 아주 상관없는 덕목이다. -_-;;

(Lake Riffel. Actually, I waited to take a picture that the lake is reflecting Matterhorn but  more clounds were coming to it and the winds blew constantly, so I had to satisfy with this pic. So... to get a good picture, I thought patience is the most important thing. That is quite far from me)

 

아... 이런데서 바로 하이킹을 하는 보람을 얻는다. 기차만 타고 다니면 결코 보지 못할 광경들...

차갑지 않을까?  어릴적에 봤던 어린이 드라마 "달려라 래시" 를 생각나게 하던 개. 그린 슬리브스 배경음악도 함께 떠오른다.
(Isn't it cold? It reminds me the drama 'Lassie'. It also reminds me its background music 'Green Sleeves')

 

이제 Zermatt에서 다시 Visp, Spiez 역을 통해 Interlaken으로 간다.
Spiez 역으로 서서히 들어오고 있는 독일의 이체(ICE) 열차.
프랑스 떼제베, 독일의 이체, 한국의 KTX를 타봤으니 이제 일본의 신칸센만 타보면 모든 고속열차를 타보겠군. ^^
기다려라 융프라우여...

(Now I'm going to Interlaken via Visp and Spiez station. The German fast train ICE is coming to the station.
I got French TGV, German ICE and Korean KTX so my last target is Shincansen. haha...
