2. get away from
I have a dream about taking a math exam or preparing a big project that I have never studied or prepared for, it is absolutely awful eventhough it's just a dream. I need to get away from thinking about that.

3. keep up with
Samsung had always kept up with new technology before Apple made the iPhone.

4. came across
I came across an antique district in Porto when I travelled to Portugal.

5. hold up
Because I couldn't book an airplane ticket, my journey was held up.

6. take to
I took to read books about economy, history and politics after when I was 28

7. carry out
Because Somalian pirates are taking a lot of hostages, the Navy couldn't carry out their rescue operation.

8. see to ( = see to it that)
 A : My facebook accout is always being hacked. Can you see to it that the virus is removed?
   B : I'll see to it.

9. get through to
I couldn't get through to my homestay host with my telephone card when I was travelling but it was possible to get through to my parents in Korea. It is very weird.

I like taking pictures of a shaft of light.

Everytime I go through a tunnel, my ears poped.

6. Pestle and mortar (막자와 사발)
Most homes in Korea, have a pestle and mortar not for medicine but for cooking.



7. simultaneously ( = at the same time)
Usually women are good at multi-tasking. She was cooking some food and simultaneously calling her friend.

8. usage of 'although'
It's getting harder to learn foreign langauges as I grow older although I study hard.

9. busker ( = street entertainer, espicially musician)
When I went to Ronda in Spain, I saw a busker who made his own records.

10. had a little incident
A : Why haven't you called me for a long time?
B : Sorry, I had a little incident.

  Stay put! There is a dog shit in front of you.

8. attach A to B
  I [attached all of our member's photos to black paper] (=I mounted the photos) for next week's photo exhibition. They will be exibited in the cafeteria. Come and see.

9. hang around ( = hang about, chill out, idle away)
  A : What did you do last weekend?
  B : I just hung around.
  A : What did you do exactly?
  B : I listened music, surfed the internet and slept during the day.

10. the folling weekend ( = next weekend)
  I'll go to Ireland the following weekend.
